At Dr. Howard S. Goldberg's practice, we use two different lasers to remove unwanted tattoos, whether they are amateur (superficial) or professional (deeper and usually multicolored). We can target most tattoo colors very safely and effectively, but multiple treatments are necessary. (On the average, professional tattoos require 8 to 12 sessions, while dark (blue, black), more superficial tattoos need 4 to 6 treatments, all spaced approximately 6 weeks apart.)
